Proud to be an American...

Nothing says Patriotism like blowing things up, right? To celebrate American Independence this year Sam and Benson were nice enough to pick Corbin up and take him to the parade for us (I just didn't have the energy or desire to attend :)

Afterward Sam and Benson, their kids and Celeste and Brian all met up at our house to go swimming, because you just have to on the 4th of July, right?

We went out for dinner, then continued the great Miller Family tradition and supped up some of those little tank fireworks, to pin against each other in an epic battle. It was a lot of fun for the kids, but probably even better for the adults.

We "built" the tanks, then went and watched the big city fireworks in Kaysville, then set our tanks off in the parking lot nearby.

(Makelle claimed to like the fireworks and would always ask for more when each one finished, but while they were going off she would cuddle up to Celeste and halfway cover her eyes.)

It was a fun filled day and we can't wait to light more explosives next year :)
