Makelle moments to remember:
When Makelle first came to meet Seth in the hospital she was sitting on the bed next to me and patted my still rather large stomach and asked, "There 'nother one baby in there?" No Makelle, Mommy is just chubby now, but thank you.
Whenever Makelle talks to Seth and he doesn't respond for some odd reason, she tells us, "He's shy, Seth's just shy."
Sometimes though she will ask him a question and his head will bobble about in random uncontrolled motions and she will somehow identify whether he was shaking his head "yes" or "no".
Once Seth started crying and Caleb and I were both in the middle of something and must have not responded quick enough for her, because she picked him up on her own and set him on Caleb's lap at the computer saying, "He's crying! He's crying! Help him Daddy!"
I took Seth in for his two week check up and just brought Corbin and Makelle with me, thinking they could sit in the corner and play with their toys for awhile. Which worked until the nurse came in at the end and poked Seth's foot so that she could run his PKU test and when Makelle saw those 5 drops of blood coming out of her baby brother's foot and heard him start to cry, she totally lost it! She bursts into tears and runs over to me absolutely distraught to see Seth hurt and I could not calm her down. The nurse even tried to bribe her with a sucker, which only resulted in Makelle glaring at her... if looks could kill.
