Even though there isn't a lot of actual swimming going on this summer, Seth does love his little pool he got for his birthday and we have had lots of fun playing in the water:
What Seth doesn't love so much is the splash pad:
Corbin's tennis lessons were right next to the new Layton city splash pad so I would strap Jefferson on in the maya wrap and then load Seth and Makelle into the stroller and we'd jog on the running trail while Corbin practiced and then we'd all be hot and tired and head over to the splash pad to cool off afterwards.
(For some reason it gets harder and harder to exercise after each baby... is that me getting older or the number of children you have to push along getting heavier... hmmm?)
Seth however, wouldn't get anywhere near the water. Determined that my kid not be a wuss, I forced him to play and held a screaming child on the slide intent on making him realize how much fun it was and then finally gave up when it became clear that he'd rather run on the trail, climb on the bleachers and sit on the towel, sweating next to me. By the end I didn't even bother bringing him a swimsuit.
The other two loved playing in the water though and we had a lot of fun enjoying our lazy summer days.
