Jesus Wants Me for a Sunbeam

Makelle FINALLY got to start Sunbeams this year. Last year all the little friends in nursery that she played with started without her and she was quite sad. In fact in December they start bringing the kids into part of Sharing time so that they can get used to it and last year they brought Makelle along for a few weeks before I discovered it and had to inform them that her birthday wasn't until after the new year and it was devastating to have gotten her hopes up. I took her to the bathroom and asked her if she was having fun in nursery and what she was doing and she said, "nothing, just waiting for the big kids to get back to play with me." It was rather sad. So after a mere 12 months of waiting she finally got her turn and LOVES primary.

She has thee best teacher ever, so I think that helps :) I thought I was being released as the Sunbeams teacher, but there are about 18 kids on the roll this year so they decided at the last minute to split the class and asked me to keep teaching for a few weeks until they found a second replacement as well. So until we move I get to hang out with sweet Makelle in primary, which is fun to see her smiling non-stop and so proud of herself that she is with all the big kids. We set New Year's goals and Makelle suffers from being EXTREMELY shy, so she decided to help overcome that she wanted to try and raise her hand and answer at least one question every week in primary. So far she is doing really well, she is very soft spoken when she talks and always brings her hands up to her mouth the entire time so you can't always understand her the best, but we are proud of her for pushing herself to get better. She is so precious!
